love it!

beautiful color and finish. the pickups are very articulate. it's a nice addition to my fenders and Gibsons...no issues at all!

You will not find a better value for the price!

This is the easiest review I have ever written. In my opinion, you simply will not find a better value guitar. It is really that simple.

PROs: *Fit and Finish - I have not found a guitar, at even double the price, that has this kind of attention to detail during production. Immaculate finish. Even the output jack and strap buttons seem heavy-duty.
*Broadtron Humbucking Pickups - Wow, just wow. Honey smooth, very full sounding. They really should not exist. Think The Wonders mixed with The Raconteurs. Did I say full sounding?
*Tuners - Smooth, real smooth. Creepy smooth... like, "did they make a mistake and put high-end tuners on this thing" smooth. Gretsch DID NOT get the memo about putting terrible tuners on your guitars.
*Feel -This may be too much of a relative opinion and It is a bit hard to explain. Maybe it is some wizardly mix of the "Thin U" shaped neck, Med. Jumbo frets, 24.75 scale length, 12° fretboard radius, or nut width, I have no idea... but this guitar just plays a bit easier for me than all of my others (PRS, Fender). It is almost intangible sort of like using aim-assist on an FPS video game. It is almost like it helps a little bit. Maybe I am mental. They describe the neck in their marketing material as being "designed for effortless playability.

CONs: Gretsch says this guitar has a "lightweight, resonant, nato body perfect for long nights on stage" and I have seen reviews that describe it as lightweight. I agree with 2 out of 3 of those qualities. The guitar is 100% a giggable guitar and it is very resonant, but I think it is heavy-ish. This also is relative to the types of guitars you are playing. This is the heaviest guitar I own. With that said my others are a Mustang, Telecaster, and a PRS SE 24-08, so take that for what it is worth. and that is the end of the CONs list.

You will not be disappointed with this guitar. They even have a model with a P-90 soap-bar pick-up in the neck position. I would have most likely purchased that model if it was available when I purchased mine.

Nice guitar

The Gretsch G2210 Streamliner Junior Jet Club is a mouthful to say, but it's worth it. The guitar looks great and sounds just as good. It came in set up well. No sharp frets or dead spots. Intonation was spot on. The tuners hold tune pretty well. Pickups sound pretty good for bluesy/rock sounds. I had one little ding by the neck on mine other than that its perfect. I definitely recommend it as a first guitar or even as back up on stage.

OUTSTANDING GUITAR

The Gretsch G2210 Streamliner is an absolutely fabulous guitar! It had that classic slab body les Paul feel to it. The craftsmanship on the body and neck is far superior than any other $... guitar I have ever played. I LOVE the gretsch pickups. They are very clear and have that unique gretsch tone to them that sets them apart from your standard entry level humbuckers.

This is a no frills work horse that would be great for around the house or on stage. The bridge/nut/machine heads are all quality construction. I love the simplified controls. The single tone knob has a wide range, and the volume know is in a SUPER handy spot. Do we really need separate tone and volume for each pickup? Considering this is roughly the same price as an affinity squire, or an entry epiphone, it is just unbeatable for it's price range. The Gunmetal finish is beautiful! pictures don't do it justice.

Again, Sweetwater was a joy to work with. They kept me informed the entire way through the process and the guitar actually arrived at my house set up and in tune!

Excellent value for this stripped-down little beast of an axe!

This beauty is ready to play right out of the box. I like the action a little lower and the intonation was not perfect, so I took it for a standard setup by my NYC luthier, Evan Gluck (the best). But I think it would have been fine for most people without a setup. The only reason I gave it 4.5 instead of 5 stars is the compensated wrap-around bridge. It's solid and perfectly functional, but it doesn't have individual adjustable mechanisms for each string. Instead there's a screw at the end of the low and high E strings for adjusting intonation. I prefer to have each string be adjustable. But my luthier had no problem getting the intonation perfect, so maybe others who buy this guitar would have no problem. Anyway, the look and feel of this (gunmetal color) guitar is great, the electronics are solid and the weight is just right for me. It's my new favorite go-to practice guitar in my collection, which includes some very nice Fenders and Gibsons. Highly recommended!
