With so many guitars on the market, it’s very hard to choose which one. However, if you do your research, you’ll be able to find the ultimate one.

Yamaha is one of the best musical instrument manufacturers in the world. So, you can assure its Pacifica series, particularly the Pac112V is of high quality.

Though it’s a mid-range guitar, it shares the same craftsmanship and quality sound with the high-end Yamaha guitars.

Aside from its construction, it’s also very beginner-friendly.

This means you don’t need to scratch your head trying to figure out how to play with your guitar. Below are some of the top qualities of this pro-level guitar.

Spectacular Body and Neck

The Pacifica series comes with various color options – black, silver, natural, sunburst, raspberry red, and sonic blue. The design seems to look like a Stratocaster. However, it’s got more to it in the bucket.

It has a double cutaway alder body with bolt-on maple neck. The neck has a wonderful subtle satin finish with “C”-shaped curvature. Got a rosewood fretboard with 22 frets.

The neck is just so smooth, making you do fast play without any hassle.

Don’t get me wrong, but it’s sexy looking with all those flawless curves and contours of this guitar. Not only that, the neck and the fretboard are just heavenly to touch.

Electronics and Pickups

Though it may look like a Strat, it no way the same as the Strat. It’s the electronics of this fella that sets it aside from the rest. Why?

Instead of the three-coils, you got the H/S/S combination. This means, you only got two single-coil pickups in the neck and middle position, and a humbucker at the bridge.

This combination is great for delivering a wide range of tones and sounds.

The pickups, like other guitars, are wired to the pickup selector switch and a single volume and tone knob.

Notable Hardware

Aside from electronics, Yamaha is also giving the hardware of this guitar some thoughts.

You’ll notice a decent tremolo at the bridge with six fully adjustable saddles that helps keep the intonation pretty well.

Tuners, on the other hand, are pretty precise. They are doing pretty well when it comes to holding a tune. So, you don’t have problems going off tune especially for long hours of practice and jamming.

Great Sound Quality

The alder body makes this thing produce a clear and well-rounded tone. Thanks to the pickup selector switch, you can play deep rock to crispier country, without a sweat.

The humbucker at the bridge is just perfect to achieve gain-rich distortion, perfect for modern playing styles.

The H/S/S configuration makes it more versatile to a wide variety of genres, be it for jamming, practicing, even for gigs and recording.

Outperforms Other Guitars

Not just the beauty, nor the sound, but overall, it excels from the rest in the same price range and category. It’s sleek and beautiful, delivers various tonal and very easy to adjust.

In addition, it’s a product of a well-known company, so, you are assured that each part is solidly crafted.

Wisest Investment for Music Lovers

Yamaha knows the essentials of a good guitar. Not only does it provide the basic needs of a musician, it exceeds it. And, they’ll all here, present in with this guitar.

The solid body construction, the flawless finish, the unparalleled electronics and hardware, the quality sound, you name it. The price may be a bargain, but this is a real deal – perfect for every musician out there.

Pros

  • Neck is thin and smooth
  • Offers great tonal variety
  • Stays in tune for weeks
  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Needs professional to fully set it up
  • Little fret buzz on the 3rd string
  • Tone is thin
  • Tremolo not fancy, but it works

Drawbacks

It’s not so versatile. After all, I’ll not stay as a beginner in my entire life! It may be a mid-range guitar, but if I were to advance in my career, I would invest in a guitar with advanced features.

I don’t have problems with Yamaha guitars as they are really great, but, I’m not buying this particular model for now.

I might opt for this Yamaha Pacifica PAC611VFM if I’m to buy a Yamaha guitar.

It’s just my own opinion. If you have a different idea, do share it with us!

The pros and cons have given you enough information to decide whether or not to buy the product.

In addition, the highlighted features of the guitar open your mind to the ins and outs of the guitar. The next step for you is to decide.

Is this really worth your investment?

If you’re someone who is looking for just any guitar that you can play with, this is a great choice.

However, if you want more, you can look for a more expensive Yamaha. Or, you can explore other guitar brands like a Fender or a Les Paul.

Any guitar could be good for you, especially if it’s coming from a trusted brand like Yamaha.

However, how you love the guitar purely depends on your purpose of buying one. So, make sure to know why you want a guitar, before investing in one.
