D'Addario Finger Picks

Grab a pack of D'Addario Finger Picks and see how comfortable they are. Leave the thin and tinny sound of metal fingerpicks behind with these shell-colored celluloid picks. Celluloid was first used in the early 1900s as a replacement for tortoise shell picks. They produce a warm and fat tone that metal won't. D'Addario Finger Picks are ergonomically shaped for playing comfort. They are suitable for use with guitar, banjo, lap steel, pedal steel, or pretty much anything you want to use them with. Discover a new tone and feel with D'Addario Finger Picks!

Great sound.

These picks sound much better than metal.

Good first time pic set..

Good pics to start with and if you take an x-large glove size then you will need to soak these in hot water
a couple of times and then slide them over something like a Chap-stick thingy or equivalent to stretch these bad boys over your finger tips. Once that is finished a couple of times they will fit comfortably....

The good, the bad, the fixable

The "good" is the tone; these finger picks (including the brands thumb picks) create a wonderful bright tone that clearly enhances each string they contact. The "bad" is two-fold: If you have large fingers, you may have problems with these pick fitting on your fingers even after dunking them in hot water and forming them to fit your fingers. They also have semi-rough surfaces and tend to drag on the strings making a scraping sound that is very audible (and annoying). This condition can be fixed by spending some time smoothing out the contact surfaces with a fingernail polishing block or fingernail polishing file. A little time polishing will eliminate the rough spots and it's definitely worth the time to improve the sound and playability of these picks. Putting things in perspective, these picks don't cost an arm and a leg, so a little extra effort on your part is well worth the price,as long as long as you don't have large fingers.

D'Addario 4CSH6-5 Classic Celluloid Finger Picks

For a large these things are very small, almost as if made for a child's fingers...
