Amazing Practice Amp with Classic Orange Visuals

Capturing the dirty channel of the Rockerverb in solid state form, the Crush 12 provides you with enormous, wide-ranging tones that will take you back to the heady days of no-nonsense, old school analog guitar amplifiers. On top of that, you get Orange's innovative CabSim circuit that faithfully emulates the muscle of an Orange 4 x 12" cabinet through the Crush 12's headphone/line output. The guitarists here at Sweetwater are huge fans of Orange guitar amplifiers, and we're really stoked about the Crush 12 combo!

Orange Crush delivers!

One of the very best tube amplifiers I have ever played and owned is the Carvin Belair 50 watts combo, with a full complement of Russian made tubes, the soak channel doesn't sound any different than what the Orange Crush 12 sounds like. The so-called tube feel you can't get with solid state…..again absolutely no difference in feel. And the Crush 12 with its tiny 6" speaker has as much lows as my Belair- I think because they carefully ported the speaker baffle, grab a flashlight and check it out! Basically I have an intermittent redplating condition in my Carvin and can't put the chassis back into the box until it's safely diagnosed. So guess what I play most? Only difference is the Carvin has tube driven reverb, but the Crush 12 actually sounds more lively compared to the Carvin when you kick the reverb off. Carvin Belair is my dream amp, and loud stage gigging amp. But in a practice space, it has nothing over the Crush 12! $99? Seriously? And don't believe anyone saying the Carvin sucks, put me on stage next to them with their gear and I will wipe them off the face of this earth!! Crush takes my tubescreamer awesomely too! This another iconic SS amplifier similar to the titan…the Vox Pathfinder 15R, grab one while you can!!! Especially before Orange realizes how much it kills their tube amplifier sales.

3 x Electric Guitars & 3 x Amps

My four youngest all asked for Christmas guitars. With help from my Sweetwater Sales Engineer (SE), we settled on Orange Crush 12s for the three kids that wanted electrics. These amps turned out to be the perfect balance of cost versus performance, for three beginner guitarists. They clean up nicely when you turn down the overdrive. Dial it up and you hear that wonderful Orange tone. My kids and myself are all very happy with this amp. Many thanks go to Sweetwater and my SE for making an affordable, four quality instrument holiday possible.

Orange Crush 12 - 12-watt 1x6" Combo Amp

I purchased this amp along with an Epiphone G-400. I had my sights on a Orange Rocker 15 amp but my salesman put me into the Orange Crush 12 as part of a combination deal. When I received it, I was a little taken back with the size - about 1 foot x 1 foot. But, when I plugged it in I was shocked at how nice the amp was. As a practice amp for a new player or a player (like me) who is resuming guitar after many decades, it is perfect. Sharp and crisp tones and plenty loud. Because I'll never be playing gigs or anything like that, this amp is perfect for me.

Great amp

I got this amp a few weeks ago and I love it. It definitely doesn't have all the bells and whistles, it's fairly barebones with just an overdrive knob, but what it does, it does very well. I have an older 30w modeling amp and I find myself using this little Orange almost everytime instead. I wanted something small to just plug n play in the living room and this is perfect for that.
