Though it’s very compact, it’s actually made entirely of plastic, but, everything feels smooth and it doesn’t feel cheap. But, if you are going to transport it, you might need a more reliable casing to prevent damage due to bumps and harsh conditions while traveling. It’s available in black, white and gold.
As for the keys, though it’s made of plastic, it comes with a finish that mimics the ebony and ivory feel. Hence, you’ll really have an excellent grip and no slipping of fingers while you play.
A Slim Digital Keyboard
The 88-fully weighted keys are beautifully placed in its 52.0 inches width. It’s quite like the regular piano, but its depth is where it’s separated from the rest. It is only 11.5 inches deep, which makes it one of the slimmest 88-key digital pianos in the market.
Its fully-weighted keyboard uses actual hammers. The Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action IIgives a great dynamic range while you play.
You can access the softest pianissimo to the loudest fortissimo without any problem. And, each key gives you a realistic response, since it uses real hammers like those found in expensive acoustic pianos.
The keyboard is velocity-sensitive. So, it sounds based on how hard you press the keys. The harder you press a key, the louder it sounds.
Intuitive Control Panel
There are a lot of controls that are very easy to adjust and to navigate. There are dedicated buttons for the settings and for the functions like volume, recording and playback, a metronome and a few buttons for some additional features.
Some functions don’t have a dedicated button. You need to press the piano keys labeled with that particular function while holding the “Function” button. Although it requires practice to be able to navigate them quickly, it’s just learnable.
Amazing Sound and Quality
This digital piano showcases Casio’s very own Multi-Dimensional Morphing AiR Sound Source. This feature is able to reproduce any sound without distortion. It comes with 18 more sounds you can play, which includes grand pianos, electric pianos, strings, harpsichord, bass, etc.
The five grand piano sounds are amazing and they quiet differ in timbre. The most outstanding among the grand piano is the concert grand piano sound, which gives more natural and realistic sound, like an acoustic piano.
Great Effects and Features
It is cheaply priced, but it surprisingly comes with many features. You got reverb effect, chorus effect and a 128 polyphony that lets you hear all the notes you play clearly. It also comes with a few modes including, split, layer, duo, and duet modes.
In addition, like most digital piano, it comes with record and playback option in MIDI format. It comes with two headphone jacks where you can plug two headphones, especially when you are using the duet mode.
And, thanks to its “plug and play” feature, you don’t need to download drivers on your computer. It will automatically play even when you plug it in for the first time.

It lacks one thing though…
It has quite boastful of a lot of features, but, it lacks one thing – the digital display. The displays make a big difference. Although much more expensive, the Yamaha DGX-660 with an LCD screen is kind of easier to navigate than this.
But, given its price, a screen display might make it more expensive. Although it’s not a deal breaker, it could have been better to have it. Just my personal opinion though, it shouldn’t affect your personal decision in any way.
Verdict
Many people might love to buy this digital piano now. It is really a great investment and a great value for your money. Though it’s cheaper, it’s has everything you need to play a wonderful digital piano piece.
But, is it really worth your money?
