BOSS's Top-tier Multi-effects Unit

Not only is the GT-1000 BOSS's most powerful multi-effects unit, but it is one of the most powerful multi-effects and modeling units in the world. You'll find a bevy of fantastic-sounding amplifier and effects models onboard. But it's the GT-1000's 32-bit/96kHz processing that injects each model with a realistic feel that needs to be experienced to be believed. A quick glance at the pedal's rear panel reveals effects loops, MIDI, external control, and much more. Add all of that to the BOSS GT-1000's USB connection for deep editing and direct recording, and you have an all-in-one tonal solution that is equally adept for live, home, or studio use.

Better sounding, better feeling models

BOSS is definitely upping their game with the GT-1000 multi-effects unit. For the technically inclined among you, this effects powerhouse boasts 32-bit AD/DA and 32-bit/96kHz internal processing, Roland's acclaimed Tube Logic technology, Augmented Impulse Response Dynamics (AIRD) technology, and BOSS's Multi-dimensional processing. That's a lot of firepower driving the tone and feel of each and every amplifier, cabinet impulse response, and effects model onboard. The GT-1000 sounds and feels like the real thing.

Computer-based recording and editing

The BOSS GT-1000 is generating quite a bit of buzz around Sweetwater for its ability to be as comfortable in the studio as it is in a live environment. That's in large part due to its USB connectivity. Hook the GT-1000 to your computer and you open up a world of direct recording and deep tonal editing that unleashes the unit's full potential. Becoming a high-quality audio interface, you're able to lay down your best tones quickly and effortlessly.

Powerful rig control

With how easy it is to use, you'll be astounded how much control the GT-1000 gives you over your entire rig. Place the board on the floor, and it's a streamlined replacement for your current pedalboard. Its dual effects loops allow you to continue getting the most from your favorite effects pedals as well. The GT-1000's control and expression outputs will manipulate amp channels, tempos, and much more. MIDI switching integrates into your more involved rig. Or send your tone straight to the house for an all-in-one rig replacement.

Not just for guitar

The GT-1000 isn't just a powerful tool for guitarists, as bassists can make it the centerpiece of their rig, as well. Among the bass-specific features are a trio of AIRD preamps, with Natural Bass, X-Drive Bass, and SVT Bass, which give you the ability to shape the sound to your preferred genres. Also onboard are 16 bass-specific effects, including the MDP compressor to keep things nice and even, bass overdrive and distortions for gritting up your tone, a bass touch wah, a bass flanger, and more.

Amazing clarity

Excellent sound and amazing clarity, highest processing power.
Amp models are very useable and the option to download irs is very cool.
Boss,its in the name.
Ive been running it into my katana artist 100 head with the 4 cable method and the power amp in,they both sound excellent.
The 4 cable method lets you also run the effects in the katana alobg with the gt1000.
Gt1000 lets you put any effect anywhere in the chain that you can make how ever you want, very cool.
This is a very cool multi effect processor.
Boss has been in the game a very long time and they thought of everything when designing this.
Music background: Been playing since the 80s

Best Response of all Modelers

I've now played all of the current generation and previous generations of modeling pedals at length, and except for Vox's old Tonelab, this box has the best dynamic response "feel". There's no lag between a picked note and the sound, and there's no "digitization" effect that things like Kemper can sometimes have with some patches.

Just a great box.

The only downside is that if you're not using effects loops, some of the presets need them and you have to patch them or change the program for them to sound right.

ONLINE MANUAL Ez best way to learn this gear.

This is not the kind of gear that you will ever fully understand without going through the entire manual, but this online manual is really well done and EZ to follow with Video lessons and all.. google GT-1000 online manual cause sweet water does not allow links in product reviews

Great piece of Gear!

I have been playing guitar for 6 years now. As like many others, I have been in search of the best tones. I have tried many products, from multi-effects units, amps, and pedals. Last week I decided to purchase the Boss GT-1000. I current use the Headrush Gigboard and BIAS FX. And these are great pieces of gear. But the Boss GT-1000 was amazing! After a week of running the paces and many hours of how to do videos, I am so happy with the feel, sound, and the interface. This is by far a rock solid piece of gear. To me, Boss has always made good products and they really did a fantastic job on the Boss GT-1000.
Music background: Six years on my guitar journey. Love my Ibanez and Fender Guitars.

Boss GT-1000 Is Powerful!

No guitar rack needed. The GT-1000 does a lot with 32-bit processing and super low latency. This is one of BOSS's flagship products for sure. It's a multi-effects processor and audio interface all in one. You can use it as if you have 250 separate pedalboards, each designed to your liking. It gives a guitarist the ability to quickly call up sound patches much like keyboardists do. This thing is a treasure trove of sounds and creative possibilities including impressive amp simulation capabilities. I'm really starting to enjoy the Boss Tone Studio software interface which has proven stable and makes it easy to play around and experiment with a wide variety of effects chains and use of expression pedals and controllers. Would I buy it again now that I've had hands-on experience with it? Absolutely!!!
