Built like a tank!

I was skeptical that spending for a turntable would sound better than my old Sony or AT-lp60xbt, I'm glad I was proven wrong.

This turntable is great! I look forward many great years with this turntable!

No need for me to look at any other turntable this is the one.

No sense for me to change out the AT-XP5 for a different cartridge, it sounds great!

I've gone too far down this rabbit hole...

Pros:
Weighty and dense, solid
Beautiful, pictures don't do it justice
Mat black, less finger prints left behind
Sounds much better than I thought it would

Cons: Just my own nit-picks
Cost
Has a smell, I'm sure it will dissipate soon

Audio-Technica's AT-LP1240-USBXP turntable is amazing!

You get everything in the box... turntable, slipmat, headshell, cartridge, stylus, and cover. The build quality of this turntable is outstanding. It sounds great and can play over phono or line level. It also has USB connection if you want to digitize your vinyl directly into your computer without the need for an audio interface or audio capture card. The specifications of this unit or on par with a Technics SL-1200 series turntable and costs much less. You will not be disappointed.

Pictures don't do it justice!

I was all set to buy a Technics 1200, I was having trouble pulling the trigger due to price, not to mention that it doesn't come with all you need out of the box and this table does. This is a home table for me, although I was a DJ I am not anymore. I started looking at other tables and found this one. I read the reviews and I was convinced to give it a try.

The pictures do not let you grasp just how high quality of a table they have created. I can't stress this more.

First it's heavy, when I picked it up off my doorstep I was shocked. This might be a dis-advantage if you have to drag it around. For me it made me feel that this was not a cheap table.

Second all the controls are precision, not that plastic-y feel.

Third it plays though things my previous Fluance table would not.

And finally fourth....it sounds great, I am getting deeper bass and sharper highs.

Audio-Technica AT-LP1240-USBXP

I've been doing vinyl listening since the early 70s. I've owned various turntables, to include Gerrard. Everyone has their own taste. There are turntables that costs thousands of dollars and basically they do the same thing. I had this model, years ago and sold it like ah dummy. But, I was able to purchase it again. I'm telling you, if you want a turntable that's well-built, last for years, comes with all you need, allows you to add vinyl recordings to your computer and is very appealing, then this is the ticket! Buy one time and be "done with it"! And you don't have to be a DJ to enjoy greatness! This turntable is right in line with the Technic 1200s. Unit is packed very well; simple to setup with instructions. Last words of the day. "Don't cheat yourself; Treat yourself!" You only have one life to live. If you stop to think about it, you're gonna miss out! This bad boy is worth every penny and then some.
