8-Piece Reliable Drum Set

The Alesis Forge offers so much more at a very low price. You’ll get eight instruments plus reliable stands and mounts to support every drum performance you have. In all you’ll have the following to help you start drumming:

  • Forge Drum Module
  • 11” dual-zone snare
  • Three 8” single-zone toms
  • One Bass drum
  • Three 10” cymbals: ride cymbal, hi-hat cymbal and crash with choke
  • Kick tower with bass drum pedal
  • Hi-hat pedal
  • Drumsticks
  • 4-post chrome rack
  • Module user guide
  • Kit assembly guide

The drums give great feel and a more natural response as if you are playing a real drum set. And, the cymbals give you practically unlimited playing ranges, which is very useful for seasoned players. It’s a little heavy with a full set weight of 50.9 pounds.

Dynamic Feel and Sound

The pads are very reliable and they respond like a real drum set. Since they are made with the finest rubber, you can achieve great sounds like that of an acoustic drum set. The durable hardware and mount of the pads make Alesis Forge produce an exceptional sound quality.

Great Connectivity

Unlike the real bulky drum sets, Alesis Forge Kit comes with a USB port. Therefore, you can automatically load your sounds and samples simply by inserting a USB memory stick through the input. You can now begin to assign these .WAV samples to any zone of any pad and any drum kit.

Aside from the USB input, you’ll also have ¼” stereo input, 1/8” AUX input and 5-pin MIDI port. Now, you can play the drum set in any way you need. You can insert a headphone to play quietly or play loudly by connecting to external speakers.

In addition, like Alesis Nitro and all Alesis electronic drum set, it is compatible with MAC OS X 10.7 or later and window 7 or later. So, you won’t have any problems, if you want to edit and manipulate your songs in your computers.

Useful Forge Drum Module

Like any other electronic drum sets, this comes with its own module. And, this is what sets it from the rest of the drum sets in the same price range. This module enables you to expand the drums’ playability and options.

It features 70 drum kit options (50 factory and 20 user kits). These options offer more than 600 sounds available and 60 built-in songs you can play along. It also comes with a metronome for you to be able to master your skills in no time.

With its vast sound library, preset kits, and connectivity, mixing your own music with the built-in sounds is a breeze. Not only will you be able to make your songs unique, you can even record and produce your own song alone.

This is one advantage of electronic drum sets, and of course, the benefit of having Alesis Forge Drum Kit.

Beginner’s New Friend

The sound module of this drum set is very useful for beginners. Whether you are a professional player who wants a versatile electronic drum set or a beginner who’s beginning to like drums, Alesis Forge Drum kit will be a great friend to you. It helps you master your skills and brings your performance to a whole new level.

  • Setting up is pretty easy and fast
  • Very user-friendly, even the cables have labels
  • Pads are little springy, feels like a real drum set
  • Everything works well and sounds really great
  • Not very responsive on rolls
  • Kick pad doesn’t pick up double bass pedal
  • Hi-hat pedal is not sensitive enough and may not work at times

It might be too much, but…

To have a great drumming experience and to provide the best sound quality, everything in this set is of high standards. However, this set has incapable and unreliable hardware. But, this doesn’t mean Alesis Forge Kit is not a good drum set.

Yet, it could be better if aside from the quality drums and software, the hardware should also be taken care of. This is just my personal opinion. So, it doesn’t have any bearing on your decision to have this drum at home.
